As our January eco-month comes to an end, we recap on our favourite Zero Waste restaurants in London. As Blue Planet announces the important of reducing plastic and with more people becoming conscious of the environment, its crucial (and amazing!) that zero waste restaurants are launching across the city. Helping one plate at a time to create a happy planet.

Sustainable and stylish, Cub is a Hoxton hot-spot created by bartender Ryan Chetiyawardana (who pioneered waste-free cocktails) and Doug McMaster, the brains behind Silo, the UK’s first no-waste restaurant. The menu offers delicious martinis and Old Fashioned Bitters, as well a set menu is on offer each night at £67 pp for a selections of snacks, drinks and food. Read the venue offering here.
Redemption Shoreditch and Notting Hill offer the fun of Dry January all year round, being an alcohol-free bar. This trendy eatery promises to detoxify your body with all-vegan food and mocktails. Offering sugar-free and wheat-free dishes with no impact on the environment. Guilt-free indulgence here.
Farmacy London tucked in the beautiful corner of Notting Hill centralises around zero waste and healthy food. They also make sure they look after you, and the planet! Building on the vegan and raw food trend, the menu offers an array of delicious plant-based dishes – we tried a coconut vegan hot chocolate and it was just divine! Delve into vegan goodies here.
Nine Lives Bar
Nine Lives is a stylish tiki themed bar that cares a lot about its waste. In the backyard, a herb garden is used to create essential oils for the bar’s liqueurs. As for the tropical décor? Nature is at the forefront, from the repurposed furniture to the candle wax and bamboo straws.
