Goodwood are dusting off their track, Notting Hill is preparing for the streets to be filled as well as the most prestigious cars being shined for the motor shows nation-wide. Masterpiece London, 28th June – 4th July
Masterpiece London is known worldwide as the leading cross-collecting fair. The 6-day antique exhibition showcases and offers the finest works of art, design, furniture and jewellery. Masterpiece’s exhibitors span the world’s most distinguished dealers, including the likes of Jean-David Botella, Dickinson and R & Company.
This year’s exhibition launches today and is held at The Royal Hospital Chelsea. Tickets can still be bought online for £35 (General Admission), £45 (full access across the 6 days) as well as Students and dining packages. Find out more information and how to book here.
Goodwood Festival of Speed, 12th – 15th July
Hosted within the gorgeous grounds of Goodwood, the Festival of Speed is the largest event of it’s kind. This summer, watch cars race up the hill climb, explore the grounds and brand stands as well as gathering by the planet’s rarest and most glamorous cars. 1993 saw the festival open, bringing back motorsport to the historic venue. There’s no wire fences, paddocks too tall or barriers – just stunning countryside and cars snaking amongst the nature.
This year the festival runs from Thursday-Sunday, with the timed Hillclimb Shootout taking place on the Sunday afternoon to crown the champion of the 2018 Festival of Speed. Limited tickets are still available at £69 per adult for one day, or a full weekend admission for £164. We’d recommend to get them quick! Book here.
Notting Hill Carnival, 26th-27th August
Its back and bigger than ever – over 50 years old Notting Hill Carnival returns to London for the 26th and 27th August. The Carnival will take place as usual across W10’s Notting Hill, Ladbroke Grove and Westbourne Park. Here you will find more than 2 million Londoners celebrating the caribbean culture, music, food and drink. Watch 15,000 costumes shimmer down the streets as music booms all day and night long. Its the perfect spot for a weekend of high-energy dancing!
TOP TIPS: For the main carnival experience, head over on Monday, which features the main parade and grand finale. Also, take a bottle of water to stay hydrated. It is known that lots of shops shut-up, and those which don’t sell out quick. It’s always been free to watch and food & drink varies from each vendor. Additional tickets needed for private events.
Proms in the Park, 8th September
Join in the Last Night of the Proms celebrations in Hyde Park, hosted by Michael Ball. The open-air concert features a host of musical stars. In a new addition for this year the traditional Last Night anthems will be performed live on the Hyde Park stage by Proms in the Park favourites, the BBC Concert Orchestra, conducted by Richard Balcombe.
Tickets are available here, for £45 + a booking fee for general admission. As well, an exciting summer extra, Proms in the Park are offering picnic upgrades from £57.50. This year, the gates open at 3pm, with the first performance commencing at 5pm. A fabulous way to indulge in music and the sunshine.
