A word from the caterer
“Jimmy Garcia Catering were honoured to cater for the Stand Up to Cancer dinner hosted at Made.com by Clemmie Telford. Working with Tape agency the dinner was delivered for 24 guests at Made’s headquarters.”
An emotional dinner
The evening was hosted by influencer Clemmie Telford. In between courses guest speakers shared their stories about how they had been effected by cancer. An emotional dinner for a great cause, that all of the suppliers were very proud to support. You can read more about the incredible cause online.
A Social Menu
The food served was very social. Both the starter and the dessert were sharing dishes. Jimmy Garcia Catering began with two starters. One an edible garden served in small wooden troughs with mini trowels. The second dish ‘Saffron pickled baby pears with a blue cheese mousse’ were picked by guests from trees on the table.
Mains were ‘Seared Fillet of Beef, Beef Cheek Bon Bon, Crushed Jersey Royal Potatoes with greek yogurt, lemon and dill, glazed heritage carrots and baby gem’ with a vegetarian option of ‘Ricotta gnudi with butternut squash, spiced butternut squash, kale gremolata, crispy sage, spinach tuille and nasturtium leaf.’
Always time for dessert
Giant peach melba baked Alaskas were a real crowd pleaser. Guests dug into a baked Alaska with almond sponge, raspberry ripple ice cream, peach puree and peach meringue.
The evening was a huge success sharing stories and support, Stand up to Cancer takes place across October. With £38 million raised so far, 35 ground-breaking trials funded and 8000+ patients involved.
