St. Valentine brunch

St. Valentine is associated with a tradition of courtly love. The tradition of St. Valentine and the remembered day is a mystery – yet February 14 became the traditional date for exchanging love messages and simple gifts.

For the romantic afternoon, luxury event planner Dani Pittorino pieced together some of London’s finest event suppliers. Locate to Create founder, Holly Dallison, used her creative hands and stunning collection to create a rustic vintage decor with champagne (of course!). The chosen venue was a freshly renovated, boutique hotel found in Victoria – the Artist Residence.

Shabby Chic tablescaping with gorgeous details

A gorgeous selection of single stem roses and spring picks in dainty milk bottle jars decorated one long wooden table top. Running through the centre of the table they created the perfect centrepiece adding pops of pinks and reds to the decor. Luxurious marble and wood votives held twinkling tealights entwined throughout the foliage.

Stationery by Ananya Cards

Ananya Cards design beautiful vibrant stationery for parties and events across the UK and worldwide. Illustrated on the menus, name cards and cocktail lists were orchids fit for a St Valentine brunch. By using a electrifying fuchsia and romantic calligraphy they were the perfect addition to an idyllic tablescape.

What we loved

To continue the romantic decor, love heart adorned meringues were placed at each table setting. Meringue Girls create an array of personalised meringues for any occasion – a great pre-brunch sweet treat.

In addition to the tablescape, the restaurant area was decorated for an extra Valentine touch. Bubblegum Balloons showcased their recently launched Valentines collection. Our favourite adorned ‘you’re my lobster’ with a matching lobster laser cut tail! See more here.

St. Valentine gifts

In-keeping modern day Valentines tradition, high end luxury gifts and cheesy mementoes were featured. Locate to Create provided rustic vintage shutters and miniature pegs to preview a selection of Valentine stationery.

Victoire & Lou design beautiful gift boxes, perfect for luxury dinner party favours as well as a Valentines present. Sandrine, founder, crafted two gift boxes to highlight the variety of gifts they supply. One contained Elizabeth Scarlett pieces, beauty products and a romantic bouquet. The other, Bollinger Rose Champagne, Herbivore salts as well as Mast chocolate – yes please St. Valentine!

Cocktails at the bar

The Artist Residence cocktail menu is extensive and highly recommended!

For the afternoon, high ball cranberry martinis as well as a strawberry infused Aperol cocktail were enjoyed.

For those choosing a lighter afternoon, Botonique was introduced. Botonique is a soft drink for wine lovers, recently launched and unique in design. Yet, still tasting truly delicious and without missing the bubbles!
