A little party never hurt nobody

A word from the planner

“This brief was no means a little party. We were asked to create an occasion to celebrate not only one birthday, but a 60th, 50th and 18th as well as 20 years of marriage! Crossing the generation divide and with some guests not knowing each other, it was important to provide something for everyone and also include pops of entertainment.”

The creative team at Addo Events

“A little party never hurt nobody was born”

The original brief was going to be a Circus theme but the client’s passion for skiing and La Folie Douce became apparent. From this, Addo Events designed a theme incorporating La Folie with Disney hit The Greatest Showman. As a result, ‘A Little Party never Hurt Nobody’ was born.

An abundance of entertainers

From the moment guests arrived, there were entertainers to greet them. Starting with the Ringmaster at the gate and others popping up along the drive, even from behind the trees. Also, drinks were served around the pool with hydrangeas and water lilies decorating the water top, complete with an aerial artist to top up champagne glasses.

The party is your stage

Dancers set the scene for what was to follow with one minute stings commencing with The Greatest Show. The Ringmaster later declared the marquee open. During the next stage of the evening, food was served as well as a nitrogen ice-cream bar. Guests could explore the room, entertained by an amazing magician, live photo booth and patisserie boutique.

The Grand Reveal

To conclude the evening, a curtain reveal surprised guests with a secret club on the lower level of the marquee. Here guests enjoyed ten minutes of incredible dancing followed by the first set from the eight piece band. Popcorn was served on usherette trays and the mixologist made fresh gin cocktails at the bar. The evening finished with a silent disco.
