Indian summer Inspiration
Indian summer theme, on a sunny day in June… perfect!
The client asked us to host a summer drinks party for all their friends and family. We were thrilled to be able to help. They already knew Chelsea Physic Garden as a venue and thought it would be a fantastic summer garden party location. We couldn’t agree more.
On a golden evening in June, guests were welcomed by two girls dressed in beautifully decorative Saris who led them through to an Indian style marquee. The client wanted to steer clear of the obvious yellows and oranges associated with an Indian summer theme which is why we added sky blue drapes and hot pink cushions with white wooden furniture. The subtle gold stitched pattern of the bespoke circular bar also added luscious texture to the large gold urn filled with an abundance of delphiniums and peonies. These really added another shock of colour and made for an eye catching focal point.
Guests were treated to a feast of delicious Indian summer inspired canapés and exotic cocktails finishing off with a help yourself Pick ‘n’ Mix stall. The bright colours against the luscious greenery felt as if guests had been transported to the gardens of the Taj Mahal rather than a little corner of Chelsea!”
Bright, bold and colourful!
Created by Wild About who added pops of colour throughout the venue and presented in gold urns.
These sat beautifully alongside the lanterns hanging from the roof of the starry tent.
What They Ate
From papads, poppadoms & wafers with green chilli chutney & coconut sambal to tandoori king prawn lahsuni with Garlic infused char grilled king prawns.
