Champagne under Sir Peter Paul Ruben’s masterpiece
Guests were welcomed to Banqueting House and guided into the Main Hall for a drinks reception which included canapés by Food Show and featured Tattinger champagne. A sea of candles and lanterns created an aisle, complete with two stunning plinths filled with seasonal florals. The room was darkly lit with burst of colour, letting Ruben’s masterpiece wow guests from above.
A magical performance
Also, centre of the room was a 4-metre-high Snow Globe performance provided by Prelude Entertainment. Guests were treated to a spectacular performance which was accompanied by a customised light show provided by Vibration Group. After the big performance and a selection of 6 different canapés provided by Food Show guests were asked to make their way back downstairs into ‘The Den’ through a dark green private members club style curtain.
Banqueting House meets The Den
Dinner was served on one long mirrored top table provided by Great Hire which was accompanied by beautiful gold and white Chandelle chairs. Lavender Green designed a stunning runner which cascaded down the middle of the table with a mixture of candles, vases and lanterns. Above the stunning mirrored top table was a gorgeous fairy light display provided by Vibration Group and Lavender Green.
Dinner was served
A luxurious four-course banquet was artistically served by Food Show which was based on banquets of the past that had taken place at the palace. Each course was paired with a delicious wine. Dishes included mushroom consommé with parmesan foam and truffle, native blue lobster with orange as well as wellington foie gras with bee pollen turnips and velvety meringue pearls for dessert.
During dinner guests were also treated to a beautiful violin and cello performance provided by Prelude Entertainment which featured more contemporary music compared to the 400 years old inspired supper!
