A Lush Dinner at Banqueting House

An Evening of Pure Splendour

This evening dinner highlighted the splendour of Banqueting House, which since 1622 has been the setting for elaborate court masques and performances.

When it comes to showcasing Banqueting House’s versatility for hosting smaller-scale events, this evening did it. The event saw the Main Hall divided in two to accommodate the reception and dinner. Fisher Productions created a theatrical divide in the form of a theatre curtain for the big reveal of the long banquet-style dinner table. While Hayford & Rhodes dressed the space with show-stopping flowers.

What They Ate

A starter of terrine sharing boards, a main course of French trimmed breast of guinea fowl, leek cassoulet with potato and sage crisps. This was then followed by eggs filled with vanilla crème brûlée, raspberry consommé. Finally, a fresh raspberry and basil salad.

What They Listened To

Guests entered dinner to the sound of an operatic performance by lead vocalist from the ‘Masques’, Cecilia. This was supplied by Young Guns.
