With a desire for luxury, quality, glamour and lovers of all things baroque, everything Raspberry Bespoke Events accomplish is in the detail. From organising weddings and events to private parties and special weekends away. They believe that nothing is unachievable. If you can dream it, they will create it. Natasha, Ikon Works and Jennifer, Raspberry Bespoke met to discuss any amazing opulent concept and this magical shoot was born.
As lovers of all things glamorous with a twist or tale to tell, Raspberry Bespoke found the story by Brothers Grimm of the Twelve Dancing Princesses. Not your usual fairytale, the story delves into a world of mystique, secrecy with a twist dark side. From the princesses demure behaviour during daylight hours to their antics in the evening this fairytale encompasses a small part of us all. Beauty, excitement, composure and a sense of fun!
Tableware fit for a queen
Classic Crockery provided all the glorious crockery; and in fact, one special candelabra hugely inspired the mood board for the shoot. From this intricate piece the pathway to the colour scheme, tableware and the entire theme came to life. From the beautiful mismatched baroque glasses to the silver pheasants, attention really was in the detail. To ensure they captured the regal side of Raspberry Bespoke’s princesses the table was topped with a beautiful crown.
“Never being one for the usual – our tabletop had to be different – for this we chose a door – rustic yet a large part of the story as the princesses would sneak off into the night!” – Jennifer Holden, Raspberry Bespoke Events
The floristry design was brought together by Alice from All In One Season. Using moss, twigs, greenery and hand selected flowers Alice combined gorgeous pastel shades of soft pinks, lilacs, purples with hints fuchsia and the beauty of the natural surroundings to create an amazing tablescape fit for a princess. All in One Season truly pushed the woodland brief above and beyond. The floristry also included beautiful bouquets and a gorgeous crown made of hand shaped twigs and semi precious stones which the princesses wore with aplomb.
Elizabeth’s Cake Emporium connects with a story and shows you cake designs beyond anything you can imagine. One of the cakes created was a tiered pale lilac baroque cake embellished with gold detailing and hand painted with an exquisite woodland scene. They also decorated the cake with realistic sugar flowers in lilac, purples and pale pink. Other edible treats included a whimsical single tiered cake, beautiful cupcakes and macarons decorated with sugar flowers. As well as details including edible laser cut lace, gold ballet slippers, bows and cherubs. The treats were intwined amongst the table décor creating a decadent feast to refuel the dancing princess.
