Alexander & Björk are known for their high end catering and finest food and drink experiences. Together with Westminster Abbey they invited a VIP guest list to a magical tasting evening. Lena Björk, Managing Director has given us an exclusive insight into the night.
A night to remember…
“On arrival we all enjoyed classic champagne cocktails and delicate canapés in the magical cloisters. Background music charmed the evening with one of London’s most in demand and beautiful saxophone players, Anna Kirby. This was followed by a private tour of Westminster Abbey before we all sat down to dinner in the Cellarium. This is a venue space that dates back to the 14th Century in which the monks stored food and drink.
Table styling is always such a key part of event planning. This evening the tableware was set on a brushed gold metal table top with black and pink touches. Here we enjoyed a Laurent Perrier champagne tasting dinner. Starter offered the finest ahi tuna, coconut lime and corn which was complimented by Laurent Perrier Brut. A second course consisted of lobster, lychee sorbet as well as a vanilla lime finger paired with Laurent Perrier Ultra Brut. The most perfect combination!
For main course we had to have the Laurent Perrier Rose which was enjoyed with a delicious veal, pumpkin cream and cherry jus. For dessert we indulged in the finest Caraibe chocolate, blackberry, and dulce cream. What else would you want to wash this down with other then a chilled Laurent Perrier Demi Sec? The grand finale were a classic duo of espresso martinis and rhubarb cigars.
In conclusion the entertainment of the evening was simply stunning, each course entered to a short performance by the amazing female group Skye. This create a stunning ambience as well as a modern touch to the overall theming.”
