More is sometimes more! At Pearl & Pear we love events where we can dive into the photographs and almost feel like we are there… especially when the party is in sunny Sydney, Australia. When we first saw this event, that is exactly how we felt and we could just imagine ourselves at this modern, whimsical forest dinner for an unforgettable experience.
Creative event planner and designer Jason James, is known for seamlessly merging design, art, form to create events with impact. This dinner was all about fun and sophistication whilst guests were totally immersed in the event from the moment they arrived.
This Birthday dinner was for George Low, owner of one of Sydney’s leading florists, Seed Flora. As such, of course the florals were centre-stage!
Sydney Harbourside restaurant, Flying Fish was sumptuously transformed and guests soon found themselves within a floating forest. A floral palette of Cymbidium Orchids, Burgundy Peonies, Magnolia and Anthurium, were showcased within the 10 meter suspended forest and the tablescapes created by the Birthday boy himself.
What we loved
Custom made fringed balloons nestled amongst a floral palette of deep reds, pink hues, and silver greys. STUNNING!
A modern and masculine styling concept was applied to the tablescape; exploring metallic tones and textures, terrazzo placemats, monochromatic details, and masculine accents.
The Personal Touch
Each guests place setting was styled with individual scented candles adorned in personalised ribbons.
Each candle was placed on top of a custom made terrazzo placemat (marble and granite) with beautiful Belgium linen napkins.
George’s birthday cake explored the use of concrete textures and geometric chocolate sales with an avant-garde feel. Masculine, unique and delicious!
